Season 1

Season 1 of Groovin' Griot is a series of conversations with folks who dig deep into the history of African diasporic dance and storytelling practices, and who bring new dimensions to how we understand the role of these practices in present times. Each episode also features a “movement break” (where we share audio from dance festivals, classes, and more) that links back to the themes of our conversations. Also make sure to listen all the way to the end of episodes 3-6 for some classic show bloopers!
