Research Competitions

MTC (Masters Thesis Competition): Master’s students will gain valuable experience in discussing and communicating effectively to a wide variety of audiences, both academic and non-academic. Having such skills "in their back pockets" may help them with job interviews, networking at conferences, future doctoral presentations/defenses, or grant funding agencies. Students have 3 minutes or less to present their thesis/Integrated Project to a panel of 3 faculty/staff judges.

Di5 (Disseration in 5-Minutes or Less): The Dissertation in 5-Minutes or Less (Di5) Competition is an opportunity for doctoral students to present a condensed version of their dissertation in 5-minutes or less in both competition and celebration of fellow doctoral peers. Students will present to a panel of faculty judges.
